Many of us as employees are expected as part of our jobs to travel on behalf of our companies throughout the UK and abroad. Generally these trips are uneventful and on the whole enjoyable , yet how often do we plan for our own personal security whilst we are away?
What are the risks in unfamiliar cities, hotels , bars , restaurants and public transport systems? What do we have to look out for?
What do we do in the event of strikes, civil disruption and adverse weather conditions? What are the latest scams and confidence tricks we can encounter in unfamiliar destinations?
The course is about preparation, some prior reseach and assessment of the potential risks that may be faced.
For most companies it is ensuring that their employees have at least thought through potential problems before they depart on their next business trip. It is part of an employers "duty of care " .
