1. Air Traffic Control comes under Staverton Airport, Gloucester. Tel: 01452 857700

2. The Grid Reference of Prestbury House is OS163/968240. Landing is on the fluorescent Red & Yellow 'H' in Training Area 4, the Grass Paddock (3 acres) to the East of Prestbury House.

3. Subject to Air Traffic Control, approach from the EAST over CLEEVE HILL. From the Radio Masts at OS163/994249 approach ST. MARY'S CHURCH OS163/969240, which is 200 metres due EAST of Prestbury House.

4. Subject to availability,

  • a landing marshall will be in attendance, identified by fluorescent yellow jacket.
  • Two white strobe lights by the 'H' will be switched on.
  • There are two wind direction socks separated by 150 metres.
  • Fluorescent orange triangle identifies 'front' of landing 'H'.

5. Please inform Prestbury House Reception (01242 529533) in advance of the estimated time of arrival.

5.1 Have someone confirm from departure point that helicopter is airborne and en route and the E.T.A. is correct.

6. The landing area is large enough to take aircraft up to twin rotor blade helicopters.

7. Normally a Land Rover will be in attendance to convey passengers and luggage the short distance from the landing area to Prestbury House.
